Two tabs, two logos, and one question underneath both: when you ask her for a photo tonight, will it still look like her? On Joi AI the answer runs through a Neurons balance. On Promptchan we couldn't confirm the current plans at all, so this comparison starts with what can actually be checked.

Here's the deal-breaker. If the character you build has one face in chat and a different one in the gallery, the companion part falls apart, and no feature list fixes that.

Joi AI is the easier tab to pin down. It offers custom character creation, realistic and anime categories, AI image and video generation, and Neurons spent on selected messages and media. That's a genuinely good set of basics. Promptchan is harder. We couldn't confirm its current plans, prices or feature set in October 2026, so check their site before you pay for anything.

My pick here is GoLove.ai, and for one specific reason: you can ask for a photo inside the chat, and it comes back as the same character, with her face and body matching her avatar.

A generator gives you a picture. A companion gives you the same girl in the next picture.

Asking Her for a Photo Mid-Conversation

1. Open a character from Explore. The chat starts right on her page.
2. Set the dial first. Chat Settings has a lust level slider (1 sweet, 5 unfiltered) and a response length slider (1 snappy, 5 rich). Flirty-and-shy reads very differently from full intensity.
3. Tap the media button, choose Send Photo, and describe the scene in your own words. You might type something like "curled up on the couch, looking back at me over her shoulder."
4. Wait about 20–45 seconds. The photo costs 1 Star and arrives as the same character, with face and body consistent with her avatar and her earlier photos.
5. If you want motion, tap Generate Video under the photo. It makes a roughly 5-second clip of that same scene in about a minute, for 10 Stars.

Notice what you never do: leave the thread. The photo lands in the conversation as her reply to you, not as output from some other tool.

Is six enough? To judge the art style once, in both the realistic and anime categories, yes. To keep a character going across weeks of chat, no. After that, images and selected messages draw on Neurons. We couldn't confirm Joi's paid pricing in October 2026, so check their site to see what Neurons cost and how many each action uses.

Promptchan gets the same honest treatment (which, admittedly, is a short paragraph): we couldn't confirm its plans, prices or feature set, so look before you commit.

Is Promptchan cheaper than Joi AI? We can't say. Neither price could be confirmed in October 2026. Before you pay, check three things on each checkout page:

Promptchan, Joi AI and GoLove.ai Side by Side

Credit where it's due: Joi AI matches GoLove.ai on most of the basics, and the table says so.

On creation, categories and media generation, Joi AI holds its own. But the row that decides it is the in-chat photo of the same character. It's the only row that answers the question from the first tab, and GoLove.ai is the one app where we could confirm it.

So the winner comes down to a single row: can you ask for the photo inside the chat?

After the Picture: Series, Feed Remix and Multi-Scene Video

Getting one good image is easy. The harder question is whether the character has anything to do after it.

GoLove's Series are short vertical 18+ episodes, 60 to 100 seconds each, starring GoLove characters. As of 2026-10-12 there were 5 series and 32 episodes, with new episodes every week, per GoLove. "My AI Girlfriend" is about a pair of glasses that brings a perfect girl to life on a stolen account. "I Can Hear Their Thoughts" follows a delivery guy who suddenly hears what the women he meets really think. Episodes 1 and 2 of every series are free to watch; from episode 3 on, you need PRO plus a few Stars per episode.

Under the player sit buttons to start chatting with the cast, or to create a video or image of them. The actress from the episode becomes someone you can talk to — which is the part I find most interesting, more than the episodes themselves.

On GoLove.ai, the order that works:

1. Pick a character — or build one to your taste
2. Say something real: she remembers your chat history
3. Open Chat Settings: pick her voice, lust level and reply length
4. Ask her for a photo in the chat
5. Want a set pose or outfit? The image generator has 35 realistic poses and 21 outfits

The Feed's Remix follows the same logic. It opens the generator already loaded with that clip's character, action, outfit and scene, so you only change what you want. Multi-Scene goes one step further and chains several moments into one video.

GoLove Still Runs a Stars Meter on Top of PRO

Don't pick GoLove.ai expecting to escape per-item pricing. Joi AI charges Neurons for media; GoLove charges Stars on top of the subscription.

Where it costs you:

• PRO costs about $19.99/month or $119.88/year. It includes 100 Stars a month, all NSFW content, character creation, voice messages and calls, and unlimited Feed.
• Media has its own rate: 1 Star per image and 10 Stars for a 720p video. Generate a lot and the 100 monthly Stars will run out. Star packs run from about $9.99 (30 Stars) to $299.99 (3,000 Stars).
• ULTRA costs about $59.99/month. It adds 8,000-message memory and more monthly Stars — useful, but my enthusiasm at that price is lukewarm.
• Voice is PRO-only. There are no male characters yet. Series episodes from 3 onward need PRO plus Stars.

Why it still wins this search:

• The Stars buy one thing that matters here: the same character in a chat photo, in a clip, and in a story.
• Spending works the same way everywhere. One Star is one image, whether you ask in chat or in the generator.
• Your Stars buy more scenes with a character you already know, not an endless supply of new faces.

You're still paying per image and per video. What you're paying for, though, is always the character you've been talking to.

Pick Joi AI if you mainly want to try realistic and anime character creation and judge its image style from a small, fixed sample of six lifetime images. That's a real use, and the sample is enough to tell whether you like the look.

Promptchan? Check their current plans directly. We couldn't confirm them, and guessing about a paywall is a bad way to choose one.
